What's new in version 4.0

• the MailFilter core was re-written from scratch with new features and increased speed to conform multithread environment of ArGoSoft Mail Server;
• the Control Panel design has changed to provide more useful information and make filters development easier.
• except overall stats, the new Control Panel allows to monitor individual stats per domain/user as well as Global, Incoming and Outgoing traffic and choose date from calendar;
• the new Control Panel also contains mail server CPU usage and status monitor;
• whole MailFilter idea turned into conception of three events: OnBefore, OnFilter, OnAfter. All MF3 functionality is concentrated inside OnFilter event;
• "Filters order" option is replaced with new event-based conception;
• the action "stop processing other filters" renamed to "stop all filters";
• new action introduced "stop current filters" which stop only current filters group;
• new action added "cancel deletion", which allows to overwrite result of previously applied actions "delete message" or "delete message and send error response";
• new conditions "if sender is local", "if recipient is local" introduced;
• new condition "if message has specific attachment", which allows to check attachment presence by mask;
• "if parts headers ... " condition renamed to "if multipart headers ...";
• "if message has a virus" condition renamed to "if message is infected";
• added DNSBL response selector, which gives more flexibility in spam classification from aggregate databases;
• added DNS cache;
• new action "strip specific attachments" which allows strip only individual potentially dangerous file types;
• new tag added "X-Stripped", which contains the list of stripped attachments, separated with comma;
• added new condition "if recipient in/not in list", which triggered if, at least, one recipient is listed;
• added new actions "add recipient(s) to list", "remove recipient(s) from list";
• added new tag "X-AV-DBVersion", which contains virus database version if available;
• enhanced AVG Antivirus integration via COM interface; now AVG test takes only few milliseconds;
• added support for new antivirus software - check the full list in Antivirus section;
• nested functions, for example {SAFE(DOMAIN(From))};
• added new functions: SAFE, TRIM, TRIMLEFT, TRIMRIGHT, UCASE, LCASE;
• DNS Black List type of Domain is removed; only IP type remains, generic for major DNS Black Lists;
• Experimental hidden JavaScript (ECMA262) support (hidden) provide full access to message header, body, parts, session, logging and allows to write complex message processing scenarios, far more flexible than pre-defined blocks of conditions/actions;
