* Please note *
VirusEx is very simple software and doesn't extract attachments from email before to scan it with
AVG Antivirus. If you are looking for bundled anti-spam and anti-virus solution, we recommend to
try other our products, listed below. Unlike VirusEx, they use enchanced virus checking and supports major antivirus software.
They also can block specific countries, supports Paranoid Spam Detector,
DNS Black Lists, can be integrated with SpamAssassin and much more.

MailFilter for ArGoSoft Mail Server
|
Platforms 98/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003
Overview
VirusEx is a free antivirus extension for ArGoSoft Mail Server with Borland Delphi source code.
VirusEx demostrates how to use Grisoft AVG Antivirus System (all versions) to reject infected messages. When a new email is received, VirusEx saves the message data to a temporary file and will "call" AVG to test the file. If message is found to be infected, VirusEx will inform the Mail Server to reject the message, otherwise the message will continue through the server.
If a folder called "Logs" exists, VirusEx store virus name, sender and recipient addresses into a log file. You can remove the logging feature by deleting the "Logs" folder.

| We're a company providing content in the entertainment business. Early this
year we decided to set up our own mail server, as problems and spam via the
provider's mail server were increasing. We are currently using a combination
of ArGoMail and eWall in combination with Paranoid. After only two weeks of
training, eWall with Paranoid was ready for stopping spam directly on the
server. Now our employees can focus on what they are supposed to do: write
good articles. In the meantime, eWall focuses on filtering our mails. Over
95% of spam gets caught, with no false positives at all. eWall with Paranoid
is an unbeatable bundle at an unbeatable price. Thanks Server Side
Solutions! Our mailboxes now are mailboxes again and not huge dustbins for
the spammers of the world. |
